season training

These sessions are used during the season, once base training has been completed. The sessions are either aerobic or anaerobic and depending upon your requirements and position, your coach may require you to concentrate on one type over another.

The aerobic sessions are a continuation of the initial preperation training done at early pre-season and aimed for players to do on their own. The anaerobic sessions can be run as a team session or by individuals as part of their home training program.

Remember that although soccer is a team sport, it doesn't mean that the whole team should train together and do the same conditioning sessions. Different players have different levels of fitness and different requirements dependant upon their position. These requirements will be determined during fitness tests and programs developed to concentrate on required areas.
